Memory is a system that allows us to store and retrieve information. We store and retrieve information through three different processes: encoding, storage, and retrieval.

Encoding involves the connection of the incoming new information to the existing information. Storage is maintaining the information. Retrieval is the recovery of the information.

There are three types of memory and they include:

  1. Sensory Memory
  2. Short–term Memory
  3. Long-term Memory
